Muscat: Muscat Governorate has recorded more than 700 new coronavirus cases on Friday, according to the Ministry of Health Tarassud app.
The Sultanate registered 1,117 new cases of coronavirus taking the total number of cases to 21,071 with 7489 recovery cases.
The total number of deaths reached 96, including 76 deaths in Muscat governorate with 8 deaths in South Al Batinah Governorate. North Al Batinah Governorate reported 5 deaths and 3 deaths in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate. Al Dakhliya Governorate has recorded two deaths and one death each in Governorate of Dhofar and Ad Dhahirah.
The Muscat governorate has registered 729 new cases, including 301 new cases in Seeb and 216 new cases in the Wilayat of Baushar, Wilayat Muttrah registered 122 new cases and 49 new cases were registered in Wilayat of Al Amerat. Wilayat of Muscat has 328 new cases and Wilayat of Quriyat has 118 new cases. The Muscat governorate recorded today 836 new recovery cases this brings the total to 4986 recoveries.
North Al Batinah governorate registered 69 new cases taking the total to 1,381 cases, 341 of them have been registered in wilayat of Suwaiq, 445 cases in Wilayat of Sohar, and 153 in Shinas. Saham reported 211 cases, Wilayat of Liwa has 134 cases and 97 cases were registered in Wilayat of Al Khaburah. North Al Batinah recorded 763 recoveries.
South Al Batinah governorate, which has 1,373 cases, registered 79 new cases, 639 cases in wilayat of Barka, 195 cases in Wilayat of Rustaq, 299 in wilayat of Musannah, 99 in Wilayat of Al Awabi, 74 in Wilayat of Nakhal and 67 cases in Wilayat of Wadi Al Malawi have been registered so far. The South Al Batinah governorate recorded 556 recoveries.
South Al Sharqiyah governorate registered 29 new cases, 21 of them have been registered in Wilayat of Jalan Bani Buali, 6 new cases in Sur, 2 new cases in Jalan Bani Buhasaan. South Al Sharqiyah governorate reported 274 recoveries.
North Al Sharqiyah governorate registered 13 new cases with a total of 272 cases, 146 in Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi, 30 cases in wilayat of Bidiyah, 34 in Wilayat of Dima Wattayeen, 5 in Wadi Bani Khalid, 47 in Wilayat of Ibra, and 10 cases in Wilayat of Al Qabil have been registered. North Al Sharqiyah governorate reported 93 recoveries.
Al Dakhiliyah governorate, which has a total of 790 cases, has registered 51 new cases, with 184 cases in Wilayat of Samail, 177 in Wilayat of Nizwa, 135 in Wilayat of Bidbid, 115 in Wilayat of Izki, 71 in Wilayat of Bahla, 65 in Wilayat of Adam, 18 in Wilayat of Manah, and 25 cases in Wilayat of Al Hamra . Al Dakhiliyah governorate reported 537 recoveries.
The number of cases in Buraimi governorate reached 216 cases, 208 in Wilayat of Buraimi and 8 cases in Wilayat of Mahdah. Buraimi Governorate recorded 91 recoveries.
Dhofar Governorate has reached 79 cases, 72 of them in Wilayat of Salalah and 3 cases in wilayat of Thumrait. Wilayats of Mazyona and Shaleem and Alhalaniyat have reported two cases for each. The Governorate of Dhofar reported 26 recoveries.
Al Dhahirah Governorate has registered 3 new cases, one new case in Yunqul and two new cases in Wilayat of Ibri. Al Dhahirah Governorate has registered 139 recoveries.
Wusta Governorate has recorded 634 cases, including 595 in Wilayat of Duqm and 39 in Wilayat of Haima. The Governorate of Wusta registered 16 recoveries. Musandam governorate recorded the lowest cases of infection, with a single case of infection and 8 recoveries.
