Two arrested on drug charges in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested two people on charges of possession and trafficking of narcotic drugs.

A statement issued online by the ROP said, "The Dhofar Governorate Police Command arrested a person for possession of narcotic drugs for the purpose of trafficking and abuse."

"The command of the Al Dhahirah Governorate Police also arrested a person on charge of possession, abuse of narcotic drugs and trafficking in alcoholic beverages. Legal measures were taken against them,"the statement added.
