Over 1,000 wild trees planted by Environment Department

Muscat: More than 1,000 wild trees have been planted by the Environment Department in Al Buraimi Governorate. The employees of Ara Petroleum participated and helped plant wild trees at the company’s site in Al Safa area in Wilayat Al Sunaynah. 


This activity was as part of the national initiative to plant ten million wild trees across Oman.

A statement issued online by Environment Authority (EA) said, "As a part of the national initiative to plant 10 million wild trees, implemented by the Environment Authority in cooperation with Petroleum Development Oman, the Environment Department in Al Buraimi Governorate along with Ara Petroleum employees planted 1,500 wild trees at the company’s site in Al Safa area in Wilayat Al Sunaynah."
