Muscat: The MSM index closed at 3,621.00 points, down 0.17 per cent from previous close. The Sharia Index ended down 0.10 per cent at 51 points.
Dhofar Cattlefeed, up 9.52 per cent was the top gainer on Sunday while National Aluminium Products, down 8.25 per cent was the top loser. National Aluminium Products was the most active in terms of number of shares traded and Bank Sohar Perpetual was the most active in terms of turnover.
A total number of 296 trades were executed during the day’s trading session, generating turnover of OMR1.0 million, with more than 4.7 million shares changing hands. Out of 36 traded stocks, 6 advanced, 6 declined and 24 remained unchanged. At the session close, foreign investors were net buyers for OMR404,000 while local investors were net sellers for OMR367,000 followed by GGC & Arab investors for OMR37,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index closed at 5,828.05 points, down by 0.06 per cent. Gulf Investment was up by 3.03 per cent. Oman Emirates, Bank Muscat and National Bank of Oman were down by 4.26 per cent, 1.09 per cent and 0.60 per cent respectively.
Industrial Index closed at 3,954.98 points, up 0.06 per cent. Dhofar Cattle Feed and Oman Fisheries were up by 9.52 per cent and 1.18 per cent respectively. National Aluminium and Raysut Cement were down by 1.31 per cent respectively.
Services index was up 0.61 per cent before closing at 1,565.98 points. Shell Oman, Muscat City and Al Maha Petroleum were up by 5.63 per cent, 1.94 per cent, and 0.61 per cent respectively. Al Jazeera Service was down by 0.58 per cent.
