Japanese PM announces resignation

Muscat: Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe has announced his resignation due to health reasons.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said, "Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced his resignation from his post due to health reasons, after more than seven years spent in it, indicating that he will continue to perform the duties of the position until a new head of government is appointed."
