Oman's Consulate in Australia issues weather alert

Muscat: The Consulate General of Oman in Australia has issued a warning for Omani students and citizens who live there.

A statement issued online said: "The Consulate General calls on all Omani students and citizens in Australia who living in the states of Victoria - QLD - NSW to be vigilant and wary of the fluctuations of weather conditions that will affect the eastern coasts, starting from this evening, when strong winds, rains and floods are expected."

"The Consulate General also appeals to everyone to stay in their homes and not go out until weather conditions stabilise. Students can also contact, in case of emergency, the following phone number: +61472624870."
