OMR 10 fine on tourists overstaying in Oman

Muscat: As Oman launched the visa-free entry for travellers from 103 countries, the Royal Oman Police has warned tourists not to stay beyond 10-days.

Speaking to the media, Colonel Ali bin Hamed Al Sulaimani, Asst. Director General of Passport and Residence said OMR 10 per day will be imposed against those overstaying in the country. “When a tourist exceeds the specified period, legal measures will be taken against him and he will be imposed a fine of 10 riyals for each day of delay,” he added.
