Suwaiq-Al Hoqain carriageway in Oman completed and opened

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, communications and IT has fully opened the Suwaiq-Al Hoqain dual carriageway project.

The Ministry said in a statement: "The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and IT opens Suwaiq-AlHuqain dual carriageway project fully for traffic which is 20km in total. This will fully utilise the strategic Batinah Expressway by establishing upgraded road links between Al-Batinah expressway with the Al-Batinah dual carriageway and construct new interchanges to keep up with the growing traffic between North and South Al-Batinah Governorates."

The project features a dual carriageway with two 3.75m wide lanes in each side, 2.5m wide external asphalt road shoulders and 1.5m wide internal asphalt road shoulders.
