Sayyid Theyazin visits headquarters of Oman Sail

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth visited the headquarters of Oman Sail at The Wave-Muscat, where he got information about the nature of work of the organisation and its contributions at the national level in various spheres.

During the visit, a video was screened, which shed light on the mission of Oman Sail and the role it plays in revitalising the glory of Oman’s navy history and the role it plays in  the  international arena.

The video presentation also shed light on the efforts of Oman Sail in providing youth with the opportunities for discharging their national duty in various spheres.

The presentation also showed that the work and priorities of Oman Sail are in tandem with the Oman Vision 2040 and its strategic objectives.

During the visit, Sayyid Theyazin met with the Olympic team which is extending its efforts to qualify for the 2021 Olympic Games, scheduled in Tokyo. He valued the efforts extended for the preparation of the team for the 2021 Olympic Games.

His Highness also met with the  junior sailors who excelled at the GCC and Asian level and persons with disability who are currently undergoing training under the “Sail Free” programme  with the aim to form a team to represent Oman in the international arena.

Dr. Khamis bin Salim Al Jabri, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Sail, expressed his delight over the visit of Sayyid Theyazin to Oman Sail Headquarters, pointing to the visit that would play a vital role in motivating all employees of Oman Sail for achieving its mission and for contribution to the national growth.

On arrival at the headquarters, Sayyid Theyazin was received by Mohammed bin Salim Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Board of Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN), Dr. Khamis bin Salim Al Jabri, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Sail, Rashad bin Ahmed Al Hinai, Undersecretary for Sports and Youth at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and Hashil bin Obaid Al Mahrooqi, CEO of Oman Tourism Development Company.
