Certain travellers to Oman exempt from hotel pre-booking requirement

Muscat: Children under the age of 15 years and those above the age of 60 years, besides a number of exempt groups, will not be required to confirm hotel reservations for institutional isolation before entering the Sultanate.

An official at the Civil Aviation Authority told The Times of Oman, that children under the age of 15, diplomatic missions and airline crews are exempt from the pre-booking requirement for institutional isolation. Those aged over 60 years will also be exempt.

The official added that sick passengers who obtain an exemption in writing from the concerned Health Authorities due to their medical circumstances and holders of permits for private institutional isolation centers that are pre-approved by the Relief and Shelter Sector are also exempted.
