Urgent appeal for B- and O- blood donors: DBBS

Muscat: The Department of Blood Banks Services has appealed to the holders of B- and O- blood types to donate blood urgently at the Central Blood Bank in Bausher.

A statement issued online by DBBS said: "We call upon the carriers of the B- and O- species to hasten to donate blood today at the Central Blood Bank in Bausher due to the urgent need and as a result of the very sharp decrease in the stock level of the two species."

"Blood donation times are from Saturday to Thursday, from 8 am to 8 pm and on Friday from 3 pm to 8 pm. Please book your appointment to donate blood via WhatsApp at 94555648," the statement added.
