Muscat: Oman Cultural Attaché in London urged scholarship students to avoid returning to the Sultanate, even if the study continues online.
In a statement issued the attache said: "Dear students, despite the current closure conditions and remote teaching, we request you to stay in the scholarship country and not yo return to the Sultanate for several reasons that we touched upon after the results of the first semester."
"These reasons can be summed up in the time difference between the Sultanate and the country of scholarship, and the problems of Internet networks, which were reflected in the results of the students, which generally did not meet expectations," they added.
"Therefore, we ask you to stay in the countries of scholarship and to maintain permanent attendance of your lectures in the distance learning system or face to face (depending on the case). In the event that the student is in the Sultanate and finds it difficult to return to the place of study, we urge him to commit to studying and to make an additional effort to overcome all problems."
The attach said:" Any failure will result in a repeat of the semester or courses, which has implications for the period of study granted to the student. We wish you good luck."
