Foreign land transport vehicles to be stopped at Oman borders from this date

Muscat: The last day for “empty” foreign land transport vehicles to enter Oman’s borders is October 19, 2021.

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology said in a statement: "Based on the land Transport law promulgated by Royal decree No.10/2016, its executive regulation, the notice issued by the Ministry on October 11, 2020, and considering the efforts exerted by the Ministry in using Oman registered transport means and lessening the use of foreign ones, the Ministry declares that the last day for the foreign land transport means to enter Oman’s territories will be on October 19, 2021."

"All foreign transport beneficiaries should be aware and reshuffle their businesses by contracting with the national and local transporters by this date," the ministry added.
