Several expats arrested for illegal fishing in Oman

Muscat: The fisheries control team in Al-Wusta Governorate has arrested 10 expatriates for using illegal fishing nets.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources said: "The fisheries control team in Al-Wusta Governorate managed to arrest 10 expatriate workers using illegal fishing nets and confiscated a fishing vessel. Legal procedures are being completed against the violators."
