Muscat: The Shura legal committee has discussed a proposal to establish an independent court with jurisdiction over the compatibility of laws and regulations with the Basic Law of the State.
The Shura Council said: "In its meeting today, the legal committee continues to discuss the proposal to amend the Law of Pastures and Livestock Management, and discusses the proposal of a bill to establish an independent court to examine the extent to which laws and regulations conform to the Basic Law of the State.
