Muscat: Convective clouds continue to spread today over the Al Hajar Mountains, with chances of scattered rain, thunderstorms, accompanied by active downward winds.
The Oman Meteorology indicated the condensation of low clouds over parts of the Al Wusta Governorate and the coasts of the Governorates of South Al Sharqiyah and Dhofar, and high clouds spread over parts of the Dhofar Governorate.
The Directorate General of Meteorology clarified on the weather forecast of Friday: "The weather condition is partly cloudy over the coastal strip of the Governorate of Dhofar and the neighboring mountains, with the possibility of intermittent rain falling, and clear sky in general over the rest of the governorates of Oman."
"With the possibility of the formation of convective clouds and thunderstorms accompanied by active downward winds and hail falling on the Al Hajar Mountains and neighboring areas during the afternoon, and the possibility of the formation of low clouds and fog at the end of the night and early morning on parts of the coasts of the Arabian Sea," the Oman Meteorology added.
Rough waves on the Arabian Sea with a maximum height of four metres, and calm waves on the rest of the Sultanate's coasts, with a maximum height of one and a quarter metres.
