Thunderstorms accompanied by hail predicted over some parts of Oman

Muscat: Thunderstorms accompanied by downdraft winds and hail over Al Hajar Mountains are expected during afternoon, said Oman Meteorology.

 "The weather is partly cloudy to cloudy skies along the coastal areas of Dhofar Governorate and the adjoining mountains with chances of isolated rainfall. Mainly clear skies over the rest of Oman. Cloud formation and thunderstorms associated with downdraft wind and hail over Al Hajar Mountains are predicted towards afternoon. There is a possibility of late night to early morning low level clouds over the coastals of the Arabian Sea," Oman Meteorology said in its daily forecast for Thursday.
