More than 200 expatriate violators arrested in Muscat Governorate

Muscat: The inspection campaigns in Muscat Governorate resulted in the arrest of more than 200 violators from the non-Omani workforce in January 2023.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Labour said that the inspection campaigns in the wilayats of Muscat Governorate during the month of January 2023 resulted in the arrest of 212 violators from the non-Omani workforce, of whom 109 work of their own account and 55 work for a non-employer, violating Article 114 of the Labour Law.

In addition, 48 workers in Omanized professions, in violation of Article 113 of the Labor Law, were arrested.
