Eight arrested for electronic fraud in Oman

Muscat: Eight people have been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), on charges of electronic fraud.

According to the ROP, the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations, in cooperation with Muscat Governorate Police Command, has arrested eight people of Asian nationality on charges of electronic fraud against citizens and residents over the phone, and deluding the victims into winning attractive financial prizes. The legal procedures are being completed against them.
