
Imprisonment, fine for deliberately crossing valleys in Oman
Crossing valleys deliberately and endangering lives is punishable by imprisonment or fines.
According to Royal Decree No. (38/2016) of the Traffic Law, whoever deliberately crosses valleys and endangers his life or the lives of others can be punished by three months imprisonment and a fine of OMR 500, or one of these two penalties.
Earthquake of 4.6 magnitude recorded near Musandam
The Earthquake Monitoring Centre at Sultan Qaboos University has recorded a moderate earthquake in Hormozgan, southern Iran, with a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter scale.
The Monitoring Centre announced that it had detected an earthquake at 2:20 PM, with a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter scale, at a depth of 10 KM, and a distance of 194 KM from the Wilayat of Khasab in the Governorate of Musandam.
