Muscat: Are you planning to visit Dhofar Governorate and enjoy the Khareef season? The Ministry of Health has issued a guidebook which includes a number of guidelines that help people spend an enjoyable and safe time.
The booklet includes instructions on how to deal with mosquito bites, avoid the risk of slips and first aid to deal with sprains, fractures, drownings, burns, snakebites and food poisoning.
Tips for a safer and healthier Khareef season:
- Choose suitable shoes for slippery areas.
- Apply sunblock.
- Don't forget to take your medical devices and medications if you have a chronic disease that requires the use of certain devices.
- Avoid eating exposed food.
- Always ensure sterilisation and hygiene when using public spaces and restrooms.
-Use caution in slippery places such as mountain heights and watery springs.
