Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, will participate on Tuesday in the activities of the International Tourism Exchange Berlin 2025, which will be held in the German capital.
It is considered one of the largest international tourism exhibitions and a platform for exchanging experiences and developments in the tourism industry and will continue for several days.
This participation comes as a confirmation of the Sultanate of Oman’s plans to develop the tourism sector and enhance its position as a global tourism destination, and an opportunity to introduce the tourism components, products, services and tourism experiences that the Sultanate of Oman abounds with, and to attract more tourists from European export markets in general, and to promote the investment opportunities available in the tourism sector and conclude partnerships and agreements in areas related to the tourism sector.
The Sultanate of Oman’s participation in this current edition of the exhibition includes 55 tourism and hotel establishments, and 4 strategic partners: Oman Air, Oman Airports, Omran Group, and the national travel operator “Visit Oman”.
Haitham Mohammed Al Ghassani, Director-General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, said that participation in this exhibition will enhancing the position of the Sultanate of Oman on the world tourism map, introducing the investment opportunities and great tourism potential that the Sultanate of Oman possesses, and exploring new ways to enhance cooperation with Germany in particular and the countries participating in the exhibition in general.
He stressed that investment in the Omani tourism sector represents a promising future, based on the incentives and competitive advantages provided by the government to investors in this field.
He added that the participation reflects the Sultanate of Oman's commitment to expanding the base of international visitors, while working to diversify its tourism products and enhance economic activity by investing in the tourism sector and highlighting the Sultanate of Oman's strategic location, stunning natural landscapes and cultural heritage, stressing that the Sultanate of Oman is an ideal destination for tourists looking for unique experiences.
It is worth noting that the ITB Berlin 2025 exhibition will cover a wide range of interests and will include the organisation of many conferences and discussion panels that will address the latest developments in the global tourism sector, including digital innovations, sustainable tourism, and advanced travel experiences with a focus on future trends in the tourism industry and taking advantage of modern marketing tools such as artificial intelligence.
