Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), in cooperation with the Federation of Saudi Chambers, is hosting the Omani-Saudi Franchise Exhibition from 30 September to 2 October at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event will be held under the patronage of Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, with the attendance of several ministers, senior officials, and business leaders from the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Over 100 trademarks from the Oman, Saudi Arabia and several international companies will take part, representing diverse economic sectors including food security, trade and retail, industry, financial and legal consulting, intellectual property, and services. The exhibition aims to strengthen partnerships and expand investment opportunities between the two countries.
The exhibition, which is expected to attract wide participation from entrepreneurs, local and international investors, and business leaders, provides direct networking opportunities between companies and investors.
It opens the way for signing franchise agreements and cross-border partnerships. The diversity of trademarks and economic sectors on display also helps attract capital, expand investment portfolios into new and innovative sectors, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
Participants will also be exposed to successful business models that can be adopted or developed, boosting entrepreneurship and accelerating the growth of SMEs.
Running alongside the exhibition are the Omani–Saudi Business Forum and the Omani–Saudi Joint Business Council meeting, which will discuss ways to strengthen economic cooperation and explore promising investment opportunities.
The event will also witness the signing of a number of franchise agreements, in addition to workshops and panel discussions focusing on opportunities and challenges in franchising, international expansion strategies, trends shaping the future of franchising, and practical steps for making projects franchise-ready. Regional success stories in franchising will also be highlighted.
