Royal Oman Police detain masked individuals for public disorder in Seeb and Sohar

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have detained multiple individuals in two separate incidents involving public disorder and disruption of public peace in the governorates of Muscat and North Al Batinah.

In the first incident, the Muscat Governorate Police Command, in coordination with the Special Tasks Police Unit in Seeb, apprehended seven masked Omani nationals. The individuals were reportedly involved in acts that disturbed public order, incited chaos, obstructed traffic, and disrupted the general peace and tranquility in the Wilayat of Seeb. Legal procedures are currently underway against the suspects.

In a separate case, the North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command detained a group of masked citizens in the Wilayat of Sohar. The individuals were allegedly involved in a public altercation that resulted in injuries to one person. They are also accused of instigating riots, causing traffic disruptions, and disturbing public order and peace. Authorities have confirmed that legal action is being pursued in accordance with the law.

The Royal Oman Police reiterated their commitment to maintaining public safety and order, urging citizens to adhere to laws and regulations to ensure community security.
