Worker injured during drone incident at Duqm port

Muscat: The commercial port of Duqm was targeted by two drones, confirm security source.

Official statements from the Oman News Agency indicate that while the port infrastructure was indeed targeted, the impact was different from initial reports of a direct hit on a fuel tank.

One drone struck a mobile housing unit for workers, which resulted in the injury of an expatriate worker.

Debris from the second drone reportedly landed in the vicinity of the fuel storage tanks, but fortunately, no material damage to the tanks themselves was reported, and there were no further casualties.

The Sultanate of Oman has officially condemned the act of aggression and confirmed that authorities are taking all necessary measures to ensure the continued safety of the country and its residents.
