Muscat: Omani star Fatma Al Nabhani bowed out of the $25,000 Goyang ITF Pro Circuit tournament in South Korea when she was beaten in the quarterfinals on Friday.
In her last eight match, seventh seeded Fatma came up against Harriet Dart of Great Britain, who proved too strong for the Omani girl.
Fatma managed to win just three games in all as the British girl went on to win the match in straight sets 6-2, 6-1.
On Thursday, Fatma defeated South Korea’s San Hee Park 6-4, 6-4 for a place in the quarterfinals. Earlier, in the first round she got the better of another local lass Kim Dabin 6-2, 7-6 (6).
Fatma also took part in the doubles competitions in the company of Thai girl Patcharin Cheapchandej.
But their challenge ended in the first round when they were beaten 7-6 (4), 7-6 (7) by South Koreans Seung-Yeon Hong and Seo-Kyung Kang.
